Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Onboarding Specialist to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of onboarding experience, with a strong track record of paying close attention to detail and staying organized. As a Onboarding Specialist at Lifetime Assistance, you will play a crucial role in helping us build a talented and diverse workforce to support our mission.
Responsibilities:
- Will take over the onboarding & hiring process following a verbal offer made by the Staffing Recruiter.
- Will contact offered applicants within 24 business hours to begin the onboarding process.
- Updates the ATS and hiring pipeline for every step completed during the onboarding process.
- Will document new hires tentative start date for weekly Trainings & attend New Hire Orientation every Monday morning.
- Will complete Status Change Form, MVR Check, SCR, MHL, CBC and complete additional background checks as needed.
- Sends an instructional email clearly stating all required tasks to each new hire and establishes an onboarding account within 24 hours of assignment.
- Ensure all hiring paperwork is completed by the new hire 24 hours.
- Provides paperwork for tuberculosis screening to all new hires.
- Communicates and coordinates with the Manager of Talent Acquistion & Director of Talent Acquistion if background checks come back that are not cleared.
- Communicates with the Manager of Talent Acquistion, Director to Talent Acquistion and Site Managers if the new hire did not meet the requirements to hire.
- Prior to New Employment Orientation, all hiring paperwork needs to be sent to the HR assistant.
- Responsible for meeting goals and expectations for onboarding on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Advises Manager of Talent Acquisition & Director of Talent Acquistion of any obstacles while performing job responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 1-4 years of onboarding experience, preferably in a healthcare or social services setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and other recruitment software.
- Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
