The Opportunity: The Staff Accountant is an integral part of the Company. This position reports directly to the Company Controller and works as part of the whole team committed to overall customer satisfaction and the profitable growth of the company.

Fully manage and administrate the following:
- Accounts Payable:
- Full charge processing for 3 operating companies includes obtaining invoice approval, input in AP and paying within terms.
- Copying and submitting to Controller all backup for Fixed Assets/CIP Projects
- Creating and entering Inter-company billing transfers into AP for each company and reconciling balances, including benefits, fuel and others as needed
- Maintaining AP Master files, i.e. W9's and Vendor Files with payments.
- Maintaining and reviewing lease schedules
- Organizing, collecting CC receipts, and matching with Capital One statements for approval by managers.
- Accounts Receivable:
- Preparing and applying to customer accounts all deposits for 3 companies, including check deposits, ACH and CC payments.
- Daily/weekly collections and reporting
- Preparing the daily check deposit and submitting to Controller for deposit
- Assist Controller in preparation of journal entries, analyses, and balance sheet account reconciliations and assisting with monthly closing process.
- Maintaining documentation for accounting processes.
- Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
- Working with other members of the accounting department to compile, audit/analyze and report financial data.
- Prepare documents for audits.
- Work to improve financial processes.
- Assist the Controller as needed with special projects.
- General filing and organization in accounting department
Education, Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and/or five years' experience in a similar administrative position
- 2-3 years of experience using QuickBooks Online
- 2-3 years of experience using CRM software (Aspire a plus)
- 2-3 years Accounts Payable experience
- 2-3 years Accounts Receivable experience
- Prior experience working in the finance, banking, automotive and/or service industry.
- General computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office with a focus in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong mathematical and analytical/problem solving skills.
- The ability to effectively multitask.
- Ability to self-initiate and work independently.
- Adept at working in a fast-paced environment.
- Above average organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze data and interpret data.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
