Landscape Logic, a premier northern Michigan landscape company, is looking for a talented Staff Accountant to join our award winning and rapidly growing team. The Staff Accountant position serves a critical role in billing, accounts payable, and maintaining the accounting system. This position requires a working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and statistical analysis. In addition to creating data, this position requires the ability to communicate information based on that data.

Staff Accountant Duties and Responsibilities:
Process vendor bills, reconciling vendor statements according to the company approval process.
Process invoices for services rendered, including progress billings in a timely manner.
Process bi-weekly payroll.
Collaborates with Managers and others to provide accurate and timely job costing.
Assists with creating, updating, analyzing, and reporting on financial reports and other data.
Assists with month end process, preparing account reconciliations, and journal entries.
Ensures compliance with accounting processes and procedures.
Contributes to creating operating budgets.
Responds to information requests.
Other tasks as assigned.
Staff Accountant Education and Experience:
Associates Degree in accounting required, Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred, or equivalent experience not less than 5 years full G/L.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Time management skills.
Problem solving ability.
Job costing or cost accounting experience.
Organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
