A New York law firm seeks an enthusiastic and driven Staff Writer & Social Media Coordinator to join their organization. This is a writing-intensive role that requires the candidate to have stellar writing skills. This individual will be responsible for researching and creating personal injury content to drive customer interest throughout various stages of the acquisition funnel, increase brand awareness, and strengthen our organic presence on search engines.
Additionally, the Staff Writer & Social Media Coordinator will promote our brand on various Social Media channels though regular posts including photo, graphic, and video content on topics ranging from discussion of current events and personal injury topics to results obtained for clients to firm events. The ideal candidate has a can-do attitude and is a naturally conscientious and meticulous person.
Primary duties include:
- Create long-form written content for the website that addresses potential client needs.
- Conduct in-depth research on personal injury topics for written content pieces, which includes interviewing attorneys about the subject matter. Revamp existing website pieces to adhere to current SEO best practices.
- Collaborate with management on Social Media strategy.
- Write Social Media copy and publish posts across all Social Media platforms.
- Create basic Social Media graphics using provided design templates.
- Write copy for additional marketing materials, such as brochures and promotional firm copy for directories and other websites.
- Ad-hoc projects as assigned by management.
Skills and qualifications:
- 0-5 years of relevant experience
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, or relevant major
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines without compromising quality
- Proven experience as a Social Media content creator, with a strong portfolio showcasing writing and creative skills, a plus.
- The ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Compensation:
- Competitive base salary ($45,000 to $70,000), plus bonus
