What you will be doing
The Staff Technical Analyst, HRIT is responsible for providing optimal software solutions for efficient, maintainable, scalable, and user-friendly HR and Payroll applications. You will document and optimize business processes, design functional solutions, configure and test associated systems and processes. You will also act as an advisor to both internal Technology and Engineering teams in HR as well as business partners.
The position will be based in our Deer Valley, AZ office, or one of our main corporate offices (Pleasanton, CA, Boise ID, Plano, TX).
Main responsibilities
- Providing optimal software solutions for efficient, maintainable, scalable, and user-friendly HR and Payroll applications. Lead functional design, configuration, and optimization of Oracle HCM Cloud.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective solutions in HCM Cloud.
- Requires independent completion of work and is recognized as subject matter expert.
- Set objectives and deliver results that have a direct impact on the achievement of results within the job area.
- Establishes operational plans and work to achieve objectives with longer-term effect on business results of the function.
- Analyze business process strength, weakness, inefficiencies, and risks to determine appropriate process and system design.
- Active in the Requirements gathering, functional design, configuration, testing and implementation of system and process enhancements or projects including the preparation and review of associated documentation.
- Lead, drive and facilitate business user meetings to gather process information. Work results have the ability to influence longer-term product or functional decisions.
- Prepare accurate and detailed requirement specifications, fit-gaps and functional design documents. Develop solutions using Oracle HCM functionalities as per the business requirements and perform hands-on configuration setup in Oracle HCM Cloud. Responsible for user acceptance testing.
- Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders to define, implement and support system interfaces.
- Reviewing Oracle releases and CWBs, providing recommendations to stakeholders on new functionality. Enabling and testing new functionality, creating functional designs as needed and providing guidance to technical teams implementing new functionality and regression testing necessary for changes.
- Gathering requirements for integration, creating mapping documents and providing functional designs for integration including recommending delivered APIs.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security related to individual modules. This includes job roles, data roles and auto provisioning.
The salary range is $131,600 to $171,080. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay/Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually) bereavement pay and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus.

What we are searching for
- The ideal candidate requires a strong understanding of Oracle Cloud HCM, extensive experience in maintaining systems related to HR operations, ability to create quick reports and analyze data, broad set of problem-solving techniques, analytical skillset, open mindset and capable of strategic and tactical thinking.
We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:
- 4-year Bachelor's degree
- Seven plus years of HR functional experience required (e.g., Core HR, Compensation, Grade-Step Progression, Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, Talent and Performance)
- At least 7 years experience with HRMS/HRIS systems (Oracle Fusion/Oracle Cloud HCM, PeopleSoft) is highly desired.
- Functional experience configuring core setups, employee data related transactions, approval flows, seniority dates, working on transaction console, autocomplete rules and using HSDL loaders.
- Strong requirement study, fit-gap analysis, functional specifications design documentation skills required.
- Expertise in analyzing functional business processes, process modeling, developing functional system solutions, configuring system setups, testing, and creating associated documentation.
- Expert problem-solving and analytical skills with big picture in mind. Ability to write SQL queries and analyze data.
- Effective communication skills to communicate concepts to both a highly technical audience and to business-oriented leaders.
- Ability to collaborate across various groups, build relationships and manage effectively in a matrix organization.
- Demonstrated experience working in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience building solutions and configuring union rules for collectively bargained employees is a plus.
