Job Description

Function:

Intuitive is an exciting growth business environment requiring a talented Supplier Engineering Process leader to optimize and scale a global supply chain.

The Supplier Engineering Process owner should be a results-oriented strategic leader that ensures consistent best practice usages of tools and processes across the Supplier Engineering role. This role works with Intuitive Business stakeholders and IT to establish and ensure capabilities are in alignment to best practices. This role will also drive business objectives to drive scalability and build a world-class supply chain.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Process Enhancement
    • Act as a application system subject matter expert for overall supplier engineering operations. Processes in scope include:
      • Supplier selection
      • Supplier qualification
      • Purchased part validation
      • Supplier change control management
      • Supplier capacity management
    • Engage all stakeholders to align on improvements to the business processes used by supplier engineering.
      • Improve operational efficiencies.
      • Allow for scalability and growth.
      • Accommodate the interdependencies of existing applications and processes.


  • Project Management
    • Lead implementation of process and system enhancement projects in partnership with the business owners. Provide clear communication on project status and potential areas of risk.
  • Process Design
    • Analyze and maintain knowledge in emerging supply chain technologies, application methodologies and frameworks, system integration methodologies, industry and market trends and determines their potential impact on the business
    • Develop a roadmap for future supplier engineering system needs (Define existing and determine known gaps) including:
      • Data Management w/Links to Agile, iValua, SAP, O9
      • Supplier collaboration portal
      • Material Flow Process for NPI and sustaining purchased part
      • Plan for handling multi-plant manufacturing
      • Optimize Plan For Every Part (PFEP)
      • Collaborate with IT to develop and maintain analytical tools
    • Develop predictive analytics with exception alarms in support of supplier engineering operations.
    Work with Business owners and system architects to understand the different solution options for interfacing with suppliers. Deliver clear documentation of process blueprints and user requirements. Effectively communicate options and decisions.


Qualifications

Skill/Job Requirements:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, and ability to interact with associates at all levels of the organization. Ability to communicate business capabilities and technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to develop and maintain business partnerships with customers at all levels. This includes understanding change management processes, material flow, creation of a plan for every part.
  • Knowledge of Business Analytics combined with the ability to assimilate, interpret and draw conclusions from an extensive variety of technical and business data. From this start formulate it into a set of actions/projects to drive a world class supplier engineering process
  • Proven ability to lead, influence and work well at all levels and in a cross functional team environment
  • Comfortable with all aspects of Product Development Cycle, Supplier Control, Production Planning, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Supplier Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, inventory, order management, etc.
  • Bachelor/Master's degree in a related field, or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Supply Chain Architect or similar experience required
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in business process improvement and Project management required
  • Application knowledge in SAP, Agile, Tableau, Oracle, O9, iValua, Smartsheet Preferred

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits and equity, and the anticipated pay rate for this position is $139,800 to $201,200. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including location, skills, and experience level.
