STAFF SERVICES ANALYST – INTERPRETATION AND EDUCATION DIVISION / DIVISION SUPPORT / HEADQUARTERS

The reporting location for this position is 715 P Street, Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the general direction of the Interpretation and Education Chief CEA.

This position will work as a member of the Interpretation and Education Division’s administrative support team and perform duties such as project financial tracking and reporting, procurement and contract payment and tracking, personnel administration, and general support of the various program areas within Division.

The ideal candidate will be a highly organized self-starter; possess strong organizational and writing skills; and have the ability to multi-task on a variety of projects at once. Good attention to detail, organization and writing skills required.


This position requires a valid Class C driver’s license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

This position is designated as telework eligible-office centered.

Working Conditions

The normal work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday. The Interpretation and Education Division has embraced a fully hybrid work model that utilizes telework and office work (in Sacramento). The work requires daily and frequent use of digital technology (computer, tablet) and a variety of office software applications at a workstation. Sit in a normal seated position for extended periods of time. Occasional travel throughout the State may be required.

Special Requirements

  • Transfer Eligibility – Must have current employment with the State of California in the same classification or in a classification that is comparable. If in a different classification, you must meet the minimum qualifications (see Minimum Qualifications section and associated links above).
  • Reinstatement Eligibility – Previously obtained permanent employment with the State of California in the same classification or in a classification that is comparable. If in a different classification, you must meet the minimum qualifications (see Minimum Qualifications section and associated links above).
