Staff Pharmacist - Per Diem

Staff Pharmacist- Per Diem /part time. We are seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist to work 8 hour shifts on an as-needed basis. This position may work 1-3 shifts per week, based on company needs and applicant's availability.

Responsibilities:

· Review medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, and potential drug interactions.

· Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to patients.

· Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

· Provide drug information and counseling to patients and healthcare providers.

· Monitor patient medication therapy for effectiveness and safety.

· Maintain accurate and complete patient records.

· Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

· Adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements.

· Supervise pharmacy technicians and clerks

Skills required:

· Two (2) years minimum experience with a current Nevada License

· Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, pharmacology, and medication therapy management.

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications.

· Effective communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members.

· Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

· Proficient computer skills for documentation and medication order entry.

· Knowledge and proven history of adherence of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards of practice.

· Experience compounding both sterile and non-sterile compounds and knowledge of formulas and USP 795 and USP 797.
