Description:
There’s currently a long-term contract / temporary position available for an experienced Staff Accountant with Robert Half. The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. You will have responsibility for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will provide support in developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. A highly involved position, it works to produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. - Ready complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
- Support fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
- Report on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner

- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
- Manage the design and creation of balance sheet analysis and communicate reports to management
- Support implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
- Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
- Perform month end close, journal entries with minimum supervision
- Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
- Recent and relevant accounting experience
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
- Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
- Knowledgeable of ERP systems
- Experience with Coding Invoices
- Well-founded grasp of commercial real estate
- Commercial real estate experience
- Proven knowledge of Corporate Real Estate
- Wide ranging experience with financial statement preparation
- Strong familiarity with Monthly Bank Reconciliation
- Previous experience working with Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Earlier work involving Full Cycle Accounting
- Quality experience with Financial Statement
- Foundational knowledge in cash reconciliations
- Good understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Comprehension of Code Invoices
- Practical knowledge of Audited Financial Statements
- General familiarity with Analyze Financial Statements
- General ledger experience desired
- Skills in Approved Invoices
- Expertise in bank reconciliations
- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
