JOB SUMMARY
As a Staff Accountant, your main focus will be to build a professional relationship with your assigned clients' management and staff. This involves performing general accounting functions and processes for each client. This is a full-time salaried position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing accounts payable in accordance with approval and accounting policies
- Processing invoices in accordance with approval and accounting policies
- Processing payroll in accordance with approval and accounting policies
- Reviewing and processing expense reports and corporate credit card activity
- Tracking and accounting for fixed assets and related depreciation
- Various Balance Sheet account reconciliations and analysis
- Maintenance of vendor files and customer files
- General ledger account maintenance
- Perform other related accounting, financial and/or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
- At least 4 years general accounting experience, preferably with start-ups
- Demonstrated success working collaboratively: within a functional team, across departmental functions, and with an executive management team.
- Demonstrated experience working with several clients at a time.
- Strong communication skills
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
- Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in QuickBooks Online, Expensify, Bill.com
- Experience in NetSuite, Intacct
- Experience in Paychex, ADP, Gusto, TriNet
- Proficiency in all MS Office programs, with advanced skills in Excel
- Preferred experience with Asana
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
