```Duties```
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Perform general ledger maintenance and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
- Support the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls in accordance with SOX requirements.
- Conduct research on technical accounting issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Mentor junior Staff Accountants and provide guidance on accounting principles and best practices.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., PeopleSoft) to record, store, and analyze financial data.
```Requirements```
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations, financial accounting principles, and accrual accounting.
- Experience with technical accounting research and application.
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., PeopleSoft) to perform financial analysis and reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and variances in financial data.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Prior experience with mentoring or supervising junior Staff Accountants is a plus.
