Form of workESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist the BU controller with the GL Month End Close process including preparing and posting journal entries and running various accounting reports.
Perform account reconciliations and assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
Assist with the daily sales reporting and other internal accounting/management reports.
Multi-task between general accounting and AR/AP responsibilities while working within deadlines.
Prepare reports for monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns.
Assist the Controller with financial year end audits and sales tax audits.
Assist with Accounts Receivable (cash application, customer billing, customer account reconciliations).
Assist with setting up new customers including credit review.
Assist with Accounts Payable (cash requirements, vouchering vendor invoices).
Assist with state/local compliance related documentation.
Other duties as assigned
SKILLS and ABILITIES
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong general accounting knowledge
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to deal with outside Customers and follow up on AR collections.
Detail oriented with ability to multi-task and work within deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics.
Familiar with ERP systems – Visual ERP is a plus
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
1-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
