STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant performs various accounting functions supporting the company’s financial reporting process. The Staff Accountant is also responsible for daily tasks related to the company’s order to cash, and credit and collections processes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Enter daily cash postings.
• Perform account analysis.
• Prepare and enter journal entries.
• Reconcile accounts.
• Work closely with the sales team on sales forecasts and order management.
• Work with production planning linking order management to production scheduling.
• Perform various tasks related to the monthly closing process.
• Deposit customer checks.
• Maintain customer and vendor master files.
• Manage accounts receivables and daily collections.

• Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.

• Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
• Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Proficient with ERP accounting softwares and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience in manufacturing strongly preferred.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field required.
• At least three years of related experience
