We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to support our growing portfolio of clients. Successful candidates will ensure client confidentiality, understand current legislation and regulations, provide excellent service, and maintain the integrity set by Balanced Tax Solutions. A Staff Accountant needs to be detail-oriented and inquisitive to oversee the monthly activities of bookkeeping tasks, accounting cleanup of books, and proper filings for each client. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to handle correspondence from clients and accounting authorities, which may include sales/excise taxes, payroll requirements, and advice on internal business processes.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, although candidates near completion of degree may be considered
• Experienced, full-charge bookkeepers with CPA firm experience may also be considered
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and synchronize projects
• Proficiency in English, with MS Office, GSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, and similar accounting software. Experience with Canopy Client Management for extra bonus points.

Schedule & Compensation

● Part-time to full-time position

○ Starting at $28 per hour, increases with knowledge, ability and experience

○ 30-40 hours per week

○ Hybrid of remote and in-office flexibility
