Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing various accounting duties, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in accounting software such as Sage or PeopleSoft.

Duties:
- Prepare and record journal entries for various financial transactions
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Conduct analysis of financial data to identify trends and variances
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal controls
- Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Ideally 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
