Job Description
Position: Staff Accountant
Location: Hybrid (Remote with the ability to be on-site in Baltimore 1-2 days per week)
Job Responsibilities:
· Performs month-end reconciliations
· Process accounts payables and receivables
· Processes payroll through Rippling
· Prepares and submits customer invoices
· General accounts receivable functions
· Code, post and receive payments
· Prepare and coordinate deposit activities
· Perform all necessary account, bank and other reconciliations
· Monitor customer accounts for non-payment and delayed payment
· General accounts payable functions
· Process vendor invoices
· Sort, code and enter accounts payable data
· Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices
· Maintain vendor files
· Assist Controller with audits and other projects as needed
· Pricing federal government proposals with the business development team
· Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Requirements:
· Experience with QuickBooks
· Experience with Microsoft Excel and the Office Suite
· Accounting-bookkeeping knowledge
· Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
· Reconciliation and problem-solving skills
· Team player that can interact with all levels of the organization
· Experience in the Government Contracting Industry (Preferred)
