The CIB (CDD) Analyst is a critical business process role where BSA/AML knowledge, good research and communication skills are necessary for the success of the business group. The successful candidate will interface with key stakeholders in the Business, Compliance, Client Onboarding and others to ensure Bank objectives are achieved
As a CIB CDD Analyst you will be successful if you can become an expert in internal KYC policies and procedures and act as a liaison between the banking team and the client onboarding team to ensure the CDD process is completed quickly.
The primary responsibilities of the job are related to CDD (KYC). The CIB CDD Analyst will be responsible for maintaining the CDD for a portfolio of clients through periodic reviews, event driven reviews etc. As an integral part of a small team the candidate will need to be both a good team player with excellent communication skills in dealing with external and internal stakeholders. The
CIB CDD Analyst should be able to work independently, manage workload and meet strict deadlines. The CIB CDD Analyst should have strong BSA/AML technical skills, excellent communication skills in dealing with external and internal stakeholders.
This position requires the CIB CDD Analyst to be physically in the office a minimum of 3 days per week.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate the KYC process and prepare KYC files in a timely manner.
- Be a Subject Matter Expert on FINCEN rules and internal policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with the other CIB team leads to ensure consistency in processes.
- Work with business change leaders on projects, risks, reporting and procedures.
- Complete a risk review of the client in order to determine the risk the client poses to the Bank and possesses the ability to escalate and articulate concerns.
- Perform research on existing and prospective clients and related parties to identify nexus and/or identify unusual activity.
- Ability to analyze complex organizational structures and conduct due diligence in a clear, concise and thorough manner.
- Work closely with peers within Client Onboarding team to ensure operational targets are met.

- BS/BA in a relevant field.
- 3-5 years of experience in similar functions or related education.
- Strong analytic and computer skills (Excel), attention to detail.
- Strong analytic and spreadsheet skills.
- Strong BSA/AML knowledge.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Share information and knowledge appropriately with co-workers.
- Effective in communicating with others, within the bank and with clients.
- Ability to seek additional information/ explanation for clarification when needs.
- Work effectively with colleagues in achieving the Bank's goals.
- Demonstrate teamwork in facilitating workflow.
- Assess daily situations and make sound business decisions.
- Utilizes internal and external sources to effectively identify and resolve issues.
- Good understanding of wholesale lending products including derivatives, asset-based finance, and capital markets
- Understanding of Santander's culture and organization
- Relevant Corporate Clients Support, Execution or Legal experience, preferred.
- ACAMs certified, preferred.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. For NYC Job Applicants: The base annual salary range for this position is $72,000-$94,300 . The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
