The Job:
The Job: As a Sr Solutions Architect, you'll be part of our Corporate Information Technology Team, working as a virtual employee. You'll get to:
  • Interface with Business Relationship Managers and Systems Architects, providing technical and functional expertise to provide vision, oversight, and coordination across a portfolio of technical solutions being developed in a business capability domain.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and document all Solution Architecture design and analysis work.
  • Provide deliverables like standard definitions, reference models, and architecture designs.
  • Act as a consultant on various technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes.
  • Lead evaluation, design, and analysis for implementing a solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities, value streams, business requirements, and enterprise standards.
  • Create reference architectures focused on detailed design principles, decision points, detailed APIs, significant systems, and dependencies between business and IT.
  • Analyze the business-IT environment (run, grow, and transform the business) to detect critical deficiencies, legacy, and technical debt and recommend solutions for improvement (systems of record, differentiation, and innovation).
  • Design and direct the governance activities to ensure solutions architecture assurance and compliance.
  • Facilitate the evaluation and selection of software product standards and services and the design of standard and custom software configurations.
  • Develop a roadmap for the evolution of the enterprise application portfolio from the future to the current state (as defined by the solutions architecture).

The Person:

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure Technologies, including Cloud computing / SaaS / IaaS / PaaS technologies
  • Business Process expertise within Order-to-Cash covering Order Management, Logistics Execution, Billing and Reporting
  • Substantial experience with ERP Platforms supporting the above, such as AS400, QAD, SAP ECC and S4, Infor
  • Supply Chain Planning, Sourcing, Fulfilment exposure, such as JDA and SAP IBP
  • Warehouse management systems such as RedPrairie, including EDI knowledge
    • Undergraduate degree and 13+ years relevant experience, or
    • Graduate degree and 10-12 years relevant experience.
