Hybrid to Stamford, CT
Job Title: Azure Data Architect
This being a technical architect role, need good solutioning skills around data platforms and cloud data technologies & data lake.
Good Databricks (Or Spark) knowledge and experience is also necessary for this role.
Experience 10 to 12 yrs
Candidate available to travel to Hartford/Stamford CT on need basis.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Architect should have Strong background in Software development with experience in ingest transform and store data from large datasets using Pyspark in Azure Databricks with strong knowledge on distributed computing concepts.
- Must have 5 years' experience in designing and developing ETL Pipelines in Informatica BDM and Pyspark in Azure Databricks with strong python scripting exposure like list comprehensions Dictionary variables etc.
- Must have 5 year's of exposure and good proficiency in data warehousing concepts.
- Experience in Ingestion and ETL release pipelines (Databricks and Informatica BDM) creation and deployment using CICD in Azure Devops.
- Knowledge of Azure cloud computing platform with at least 2 years' experience in Azure Synapse ADLS and HDI.
- At least a year of experience with good proficiency in Delta table and delta file operations like merge Insert override Partition overrides etc.
- Proficiency in Sql and database Design concepts.
- Knowledge on Github and build management.
Architects' responsibilities:
- Design Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Informatica BDM on HDI and Pyspark in Azure Databricks using delta tables.
- Create build from Github and release pipeline for Ingestion Informatica BDM and Databricks using Azure Devops
- Monitor Performance of ETL Jobs resolve any issue that arose and improve the performance metrics as needed.
- Diagnose system performance issue related to data processing and implement solution to address them.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure successful integration of data pipelines into larger system architecture requirement.
- Maintain integrity and quality across all pipelines.
Salary and Other Compensation :
The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
