The opportunity


As the Sr. Regional Manager, you will lead a team of Biosimilar Account Managers (BKAM) tasked with fostering successful partnerships between Teva and identified customers within the region, focusing on Teva’s Biosimilar product portfolio. Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the achievement of Teva's annual business objectives while ensuring that performance targets are met and exceeded.

 

Geography: Northeast Region (Territories include: Upstate NY, Richmond VA, Philadelphia, PA, Newark, NJ, New Haven, CT, New York City, NY, Boston MA and Baltimore MD)

 

How you’ll spend your day

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and guide the BKAM team in clarifying objectives, formulating effective strategies, executing plans to drive performance, and setting clear expectations.
  • Foster a culture of honest and constructive feedback, both giving and receiving, to drive continuous improvement within the team.
  • Provide coaching and guidance in the creation and development of account plans, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Monitor progress to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Provide individual coaching and feedback to empower team members to achieve their objectives, utilizing tools such as monthly business plans and performance reviews.
  • Develop and support the implementation of Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for direct reports to foster their professional growth.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, develop, and retain top talent within the region. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Market Access, Contracting, Specialty Pharmacy teams and IDN Key Account Managers to ensure customers are appropriately served. 
  • Anticipate and respond to changing market conditions by maintaining awareness of marketplace dynamics, understanding customer needs and expectations, and implementing forward-thinking business strategies.
     

Your experience and qualifications

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry, with a proven track record of leadership and achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative, transparent, accountable, and inclusive culture.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively coach and develop team members.
  • Understanding of financial concepts and contracting issues specific to pharmaceutical distribution
  • Understanding of patient drug access, and healthcare provider payment/payer reimbursement  
  • Strategic account management experience in developing and implementing account-specific business plans as well as the ability to coach and support others in doing the same.
  • Computer Skills; Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel within region on a regular basis which will include frequent overnight travel

 

Preferred:

  • MBA preferred
  • 1st line leadership experience
  • Pharmaceutical Home office experience
