Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst

As a direct supplier to this NYC agency, WisEngineering is currently interviewing candidates to serve in the role of Senior Quality Assurance Analyst with an anticipated start date of August 2, 2024. Candidates must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, and will be subject to on-site and/or remote working in accordance with clients policies in effect for the duration of the project. Candidate must be US Citizen, EAD/GC on a W2 or 1099. We are unable to sponsor H1 or work with your company on a CTC basis.
Rate: DOE 80-100K (negotiable) with Benefits, Vacation, 401K

Certifications and Training Requirements:
Certification as Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP) or Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), or Certified Associate in Software Quality (CASQ) or ISTQB certified as CTFL (Foundation Level) or CTAL (Advanced Level) or CTEL (Expert Level).
Project Description:
Senior Quality Assurance Analyst ("QA Analyst") will work with the Information Technology (IT) Division for a period up to 36 months. NYCERS reserves the right to hire the candidate(s) as an employee, at no additional cost, after a period of six (6) months. The QA Analyst will primarily perform functional manual testing and automated testing of the new Pension Administration system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Analyst will support the testing of all the data bridging scenarios that will be adopted in the course of the transition from legacy system to new pension administration system and involved in the testing of legacy system as functionality is being retired and decommissioned.
Responsibilities will also include requirement/user story review, identify testing requirements from specifications and acceptance criteria, build and execute test scenarios and test scripts, analyze test results, facilitate test case and user story reviews with cross-functional team members and external QA vendor and System Integration vendor, facilitate discussions on defects identified, report and track all defects, and verify fixes in test environment.
Required Skills:

• Minimum of 7 years of QA Analyst experience with at least 2 years of recent experience as a Senior QA Analyst testing workflow processing, evaluating business rules, data quality, internet applications with expertise in Agile, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Ability to maintain high level of business acumen coupled with technical knowledge.
• Experience in preparing effort estimations and conduct all aspects of testing; STLC, functional, regression, access privileges and System performance and certify the release of workflows into UAT
• Experience defining project scope and technical specifications, set clear goals and expectations, prioritize activities, facilitate the collection of technical, operational or business requirements, set milestones and follow through to successful completion.
• Experience in multi-tasking multiple priorities
• Experience presenting projects to upper management and the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Ability to simulate and execute integrated and isolated tests to analyze results, leveraging CRUD operations on large volumes of raw data using SQL.
• Experience with Functional test Automation tools
• Ability to use MS-Office specifically Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, Visio & PowerPoint JIRA, Zephyr or similar test Management tools
• Strong documentation skills in software defects or program functions and tracking resolutions
• Excellent interpersonal skills including negotiation, problem resolution and customer service
• Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with people regardless of their technical skill set

• Experience testing complex enterprise applications involving Legacy systems
• Experience with Workflow systems
• Experience in legacy system migration projects
• Experience in Public Pension Systems.
• Experience working in major multi-year projects
• Experience testing CRM systems like Salesforce, MS Dynamics
• Experience with Load Test and Performance Tools like Load Runner, JMeter
• Experience of Mobile Testing tools like Appium, Test Grid
• Good knowledge of automation test scripting
