The application service offered by the company includes application development, maintenance, and support. The markets served by the company are financial services and insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, government, transportation, communications, and consumer and retail industries.
Rate Range: $120K-$140K/Hr + Benefits

About the team:
  • The Engineering Systems team strives to ensure that our products work consistently, correctly, and reliably. The Engineering Systems team empowers our developers with the tools, systems, and standards to create and maintain enduring quality and security of all Microsoft products and services. Our sub-team is focused on managing millions of source code files, ensuring that bugs are routed to the correct team and drive standards for engineering across Microsoft.

Job Description:
  • We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to be part of the exciting new journey to redefine ownership of engineering assets such as source code, binaries, pipelines and deployments.
  • You will collaborate with team members and other engineering groups in Microsoft to drive the adoption of new standards.
  • Successful candidates should have a competent grasp of Computer Science fundamentals, sharp product design skills, and a healthy appetite for tackling hard, ambiguous problems.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand customer’s needs and the industry landscape deeply.
  • Craft business models and value propositions that add real value.
  • Define product and portfolio roadmaps to meet and exceed customer promises incrementally.
  • Drive clarity of customers, segments, features, schedules, partnerships, dependencies... to ensure 100% alignment.
  • Partner with engineering and leadership across Microsoft to explore possible synergies to deliver more.
  • Handhold customers, where needed, participating in agile processes.
  • Drive adoption across all of Microsoft (dealing with people who are much more senior).
  • Keep a set of dashboards updated with levels of engagement with each team.
  • Objectively assess your product by defining, owning, and driving key metrics.
  • Learn and improve yourself, the team, and the product constantly.
Preferred Skills:
  • Customer Empathy –deeply understand the needs of Microsoft Developers and Engineering Teams.
  • Detail- and results-oriented, with demonstrated experience managing complex design and delivery of services.
  • Think big and design for solutions that scale end to end across ALL Microsoft teams.
  • Proficient collaborative and interpersonal skills, with experience running cross-divisional projects.
  • Experience and depth in driving customer adoption, on technical products with beautiful User experiences and delivering results.
Preferred Knowledge And Experiences:
  • Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Experience in engineering lifecycle and live site operation of massively distributed high scale systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a product from concept to launch.
  • Experience with product management, from understanding customer requirements and defining a product roadmap to driving engineering work, to driving adoption, to tuning the product and beyond.
  • Embody our culture and values
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Machine Learning (Client)/Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Data Science, Math, Electrical Engineering, or a related field AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of product management experience.
  • Previous experience with managing a product with thousands of monthly active users.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years’ experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
  • OR equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of product management experience with 5 of those in a platform.
  • Familiarity with Hands-on Data Analysis and Client.
