Position Purpose:
The Senior Manager of HR Operations, System Support primarily manages the day-to-day activities and develops the competence of their team. The person in this role also contributes individually as a SME and champion for Workday best practices. They partner with Product, IT, and HR Support Center teams to understand pain points, identify opportunities to improve processes and gain efficiencies. They work to ensure Human Resources and other business initiatives are fully supported with the appropriate plans, processes, communications, and change management. This position works closely with senior leaders in and out of HR as well as business partners in different functional areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- 10% Consultant - Influence decision-making utilizing internal resources, knowledge, experience and problem solving skills; Share recommendations for collaboration, communication, and change management to benefit work in HR
- 30% Leadership and Management - Monitor and guide work activity for team through the coordination, organization and appropriate distribution of work; Manage team and individual performance against goals, hold associates accountable for performance, and provide training and development opportunities; Attract, hire, and onboard new talent to the team, as needed
- 20% Process Development and Monitoring - Monitor processes to suggest improvement ideas and provide transparency around HR; Use research and analytics to provide actionable insights that make connections and highlight root causes; Lead the establishment of processes through the use of data, knowledge of systems, and open communication with business partners
- 40% Project Planning & Execution - Develop roadmaps and utilize standard project development methodologies to facilitate delivery of HR System solutions and HR initiatives; Manage complex projects from inception to completion, including change management, end user training, and support
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- This position typically reports to Director of HR Operations
- This position has 3-5 Direct Reports
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with support or implementation of Workday
- Strong HCM knowledge with deep understanding of business processes in Workday
- Exceptional people skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both a technical audience and business users
Minimum Education:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
