Machine Operator
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS
- Operator will start to learn assigned machines in the Enduro Department.
- Operator will begin to learn Tydenbrooks policies and procedures and core values.
- Becoming competent in assigned machine/machines.
- Understanding job travelers and B.O.M Requirements.
- Learning the Quality Procedures and how to verify quality of product through the use of measuring devices and following guidelines of Product Quality Sheets for product to being run.
- Learning all safety devices, guards, and sensors of assigned machine. Stop production and notify supervision if any of the safety devices have been found defective or not working.
- Learning to properly read and follow the schedule for assigned machine.
- During operation perform Quality checks to determine that product and packaging meets with customer specifications. Proper documentation of Quality checks is required, and minor adjustments may be necessary to insure a certain level of Quality.
- Responsible for knowledge of all safety features and guards on assigned machine. Stop production and notify supervision in the event that safety features or guards are not working properly.
- Retain records of quality checks and specific product measurements as required to maintain established standards and specifications.
- Complete knowledge of assigned machine starts up and set up as per instructions found in Operator Manual.
- Changing of materials in order to maintain schedule as provided by Scheduling Department
- Learning how to properly change over assigned machine, including swapping out components, foil, and changing numbers and logo.
- Learning to maintain above 85% efficiency for assigned machine.
- Learning how to properly fill out required documents to record efficiencies, quality, and preventative maintenance.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate any issues of concern which could prevent 100% on time delivery to leadership.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation using 5S standards of Lean Manufacturing.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Able to read and understand the specifics of a Job Traveler.
- Must be able to read and understand a Bill of Materials.
- Must be able to use appropriate measuring devices to determine quality.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Minimum amount of computer skills for proper packaging of production.
Ability to count backwards and forwards.
