Job Description:
The Manager of HR Systems and Operations oversees all aspects of the HRIS and HR Operations teams to ensure system configurations, processes, and HR support operations are documented, scalable, efficient, integrated, and controlled accordingly.
Responsibilities:
- Partners with the Director of HRIS, Payroll, and HR Operations to develop and oversee RaceTrac's HR Technology strategy, in alignment with business needs
- Develops processes and controls to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and Company policies; support internal and external audit requests, where applicable
- Drives increased automation of HR functions and integration across HR Systems in order to eliminate duplication of data/effort, streamline processes, and enable more intelligent use of HR applications
- Establishes and implements team KPIs, objectives, and metrics by researching effective methodologies to collect and distribute data and improve data security/integrity
- Defines and supports the measurements of HR's key business objectives and people metrics and provides supportive and actionable data to drive sound decision making
- Drives the HRIS and HR Operations teams to continuously improve HR processes and systems in order to maximize efficiency/cost savings, manage change, and support new HR initiatives
- Partner with HR, IT, Finance, and other Business Partners to promote efficient infrastructure planning and alignment
- Participates in cross-functional project teams to implement effective system solutions to HR and other employee group end-users
- Partners with and advises internal customers on prioritization of projects required to meet organizational goals, while managing resource availability and system configuration/capabilities
- Serves as a subject matter expert for Workday HR modules and all HR systems-related technology
- Maintains a strong awareness of HR analytics that drive success, and ensures analytics and systems are accurate and consistently user-friendly to all internal customers of RaceTrac
- Maintains awareness of current trends in HR systems with a focus on product and service development, delivery/support, and application of key technologies
- Evaluates new technologies and provides recommendations, where applicable
- Leads implementation projects of system upgrades, enhancements, and optimization reviews
- Partners with HR Learning Team to develop training plans and standard operating procedures for users, where applicable
- Creates, manages, and maintains vendor relationships with HR systems' existing and potential partners and any budgets accordingly
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred; Equivalent combination of work experience and qualifying skills required in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years experience managing various HR and Applicant Tracking Systems, with minimum of 3 years Workday experience required
- MS Office Suite, specifically advanced knowledge in MS Excel
- Experience managing team(s) of direct reports
- Demonstrated project management experience and reporting skills preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of process flows, mapping, and planning preferred
- Additional HR functional experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to deliver complex data in a simple and discernable way to employees at all levels
