Position: Sr Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis and Investor Relations, the Sr Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis - Remote (“Sr. Mgr., FP&A”) owns the analyses related to Redwire’s budgeting, forecasting, and investment decisions. This person will be a trusted finance professional with exposure to cross-functional leaders, including the senior management team, and drive process automation to yield timely and useful insights about the business. Through their experience, knowledge of forecasting, planning, analysis, and expense management, they will play a leading role in helping the company scale growth while driving bottom-line results. You will exercise conceptual, tactical, and operational thinking to distill, analyze, and package complex information in a clear, concise, and compelling manner. The successful candidate will bring with them curiosity and courage to challenge the status quo to stir innovative approaches to existing processes and operations.
The Sr. Mgr, FPA will be critical to company-wide processes including, but not limited to, developing the annual operating plan and long-range forecasts, as well as overseeing the monthly forecasting process. This individual will work directly with leaders of all legal entities and functional teams to assist in reporting, forecasting and analyzing financial and operational results, as well as conducting analyses to support better business decisions. Additionally, this position includes responsibility for hiring, developing, and overseeing a team of global employees.
The ideal candidate is a developing business expert with in-depth knowledge of corporate finance and must possess strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse group of corporate partners. Prior FP&A experience, investment banking, and/or consulting is preferred but not necessarily required.
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the SVP FP&A and IR to formulate the business's short, medium, and long term financial and strategic plans
  • Take a leading role in development of the company’s short, medium, and long-term forecasts, annual budget, monthly management reports and quarterly reports to the company’s board of directors
  • Assist with earnings guidance framework analysis
  • Develop analyses in support of all corporate-level decisions involving a financial impact; Assist Business Unit teams with the same
  • Producing models to project long term growth and determine the factors impacting business outlooks
  • Hire, develop, and manage a high-functioning team that is collaborative and delivers a high-quality decision support
  • Delivery of competitor analysis, market trends and associated commentary to the Leadership team
  • Identify areas for system and/or process enhancements and operational improvements and assist in their roll-out/implementation
  • Report on and provide analysis for critical financial KPIs and metrics
  • Assist with M&A process from the due diligence, through valuation, negotiation, and the integration stages.
  • Perform and/or assist in other tasks as directed by Sr. VP FP&A and IR
  • Occasional travel required
Ideal Experience:
  • BA/BS plus MBA, preferably in Business, Economics, Finance, Strategy, and /or Accounting
  • Prior experience as a Senior Financial Analyst and Manager, Financial Planning & Analyst, or their equivalent
  • Experience with multiple planning, forecasting, and reporting systems
  • Excellent financial modeling experience
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and/or executing a wide-range of ad-hoc analyses
