Job Description
Purpose of the Job
The purpose of the Sr. Human Resources Generalist is to partner with site leaders, employees, and teams in accordance with the organization’s Human Resources principles, policies, and procedures, to support continuous improvement in the ability to perform to the level required to meet the business objectives.
Essential Job Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)
HR Leader & Business Partner
- Work with managers to ensure consistency of policy implementation and documentation and monitor practices to ensure compliance with the law.
- Provide guidance and support when performance is unsatisfactory including disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, separations, and conflict resolution situations.
- Serve as a resource for employee relations issues, benefits questions, policy issues, etc.
- When needed, ensures separation and decommissioning process is completed along with conducting exit interviews to gather lessons learned and enable a smooth transition out of the company.
Staffing & Recruiting
- Recruit and hire new employees for exempt and select nonexempt positions at corporate facility, including job posting, interviewing, selections, approvals, etc.
- Post selection administration including compensation determination, internal equity, internal competency testing / assessment,
- Plan for and facilitate orientation for new hires including coordinating with managers to ensure new hires feel welcomed, pre-boarding tasks are complete, and check-in’s are scheduled and completed in the first 30/60/90 days.
Benefit and HRIS Administration
- Administers workers' compensation, unemployment, FMLA, leave of absence, STD for non-exempt and exempt employees.
- Enters and maintains accurate and updated employment data both locally and globally.
- Produces reports and analysis utilizing HRIS data from ADP.
- Perform necessary modification of files, records and information retention and maintenance systems.
- Actively generate ideas for improving the utilization of the HRIS systems.
Training & Development
- Work with Managers to develop plans, procedures and programs to meet specific training needs of employees in area of responsibility.
- compliance with USCIS.Ensure employee development plans are adequate.
- Partner with Learning & Development team to gather information about training grants and other resources through memberships in professional community associations and other professional networking.
- Create, evaluate and maintain job descriptions.
Immigration Support
- Owns company immigration processes, in partnership with outside counsel.
- Complete and submit required documentation to further immigration steps and ensure
Requirements
Education & Experience (What You’ll Bring)
- Bachelors in Human Resources, or equivalent (Required)
- PHR/SHRM Certification (Preferred)
- 7-10+ years of HR experience
- Experience supporting corporate teams including engineering, sales, finance, etc. is preferred
- Strong technical skills including reporting using Microsoft tools is required
- ADP (Workforce Now + Recruitment Management) experience is ideal
