Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Benefits & Human Resources, the Sr. HR Specialist develops, maintains, and executes Human Resources programs throughout the Enterprise and within J.M. Corporate functions. The role is responsible for employee engagement and relations; talent acquisition and onboarding; HR compliance and reporting as well as coordination of compensation, benefits, and payroll for employees in corporate functions. This role serves as the primary employee point of contact for most HR related questions.   

 

Flexible Work Arrangement: This role is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with three-days spent working from the Atlanta office and two-days working from home each week.

 

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage and interpret policies, procedures and programs related to employment, compensation, benefits, payroll, performance management and employee relations. Answer employee questions as needed
  • Lead and administer key enterprise-wide and Corporate HR programs, processes and communications including FAW (Flexibility at Work), PATH (Performance at Huber) and other employee engagement initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of training programs and participate in facilitating training sessions as required 
  • Collaborate across HR competency areas: Benefits, Compensation, DE&I, HRIS, Organizational Development and Payroll 
  • Lead, manage or assist with special projects as needed 
  • Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs, skills and competencies required for openings
  • Lead talent acquisition efforts: post requisitions, source, interview and recommend qualified candidates to hiring managers
  • Coordinate interviews and maintain communication with candidates to ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Write offer letters and guide candidates through pre-boarding steps
  • Conduct new hire orientations and presentations
  • Liaise with Compensation to determine salary recommendations for new hires, role re-evaluations and promotions. Write letters for employees to document recommendations 
  • Review and audit compensation accrual data for the short-term incentive plan, long-term incentive plan, profit sharing and non-elective programs
  • Assist with annual compensation cycle by reviewing corporate compensation data, testing compensation system and preparing training for managers
  • Assist with Annual Enrollment preparation and presentations
  • Create and maintain HCMS records for all corporate employees including new hire, promotion, transfer, termination, and other data change entries, ensuring a high degree of accuracy
  • Lead internal and external HR audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
Education, Specialized Knowledge & Required Skills

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or closely related field with 5+ years of HR experience or Master's degree in Human Resources with 3+ years of HR experience
  • Knowledge of benefit administration, compensation systems, legal compliance, HR Reporting and various personnel functions 
  • Basic knowledge of HR Labor Laws and programs including, but not limited to, COBRA, HIPAA and FMLA
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

 

 Preferred:

  • Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors, Visier and UKG Payroll a plus
