PURPOSE OF JOB: The HR Generalist will be responsible for administration of compensation and Benefits at Route 92 Medical, working closely with the internal HR team and with cross-functional partners (i.e., Payroll, Facilities, IT, Finance). This role encompasses a combination of HR Generalist responsibilities and expertise or high comprehension in compensation and Benefits. The HR Generalist will serve as the primary internal contact for benefits, 401(k), leaves of absence (LOA) and general compensation matters, evaluating current processes and developing efficiencies and enhancements. This individual will work with external partners to ensure both compliance and smooth operations of all plans and programs, as well as benchmarking and making recommendations to update/enhance the benefits portfolio and pay structure. This position may be based in either of R92M’s general office areas: San Mateo, CA or West Jordan, UT. A hybrid work schedule is possible (some days in office and some days work remotely) if desired.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage ongoing benefits programs, questions, and issues, working closely with external benefits consulting team
- Lead annual benefits reviews and make recommendations for renewals
- Manage the annual Open Enrollment cycle from end-to-end
- Administer employee leaves of absence with both compliance and compassion
- Participate in external compensation survey/s, providing data and analyzing benchmarks
- Maintain and update internal salary structure
- Organize compensation data for annual merit reviews and work with managers on their individual recommendations
- Ensure compliance within employee handbook, HR policies, and employee records
- Coordinate and track HR employee trainings, including harassment prevention training
- Communicate and promote programs internally
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- HR or related professional certification is a plus
EXPERIENCE:
- 4-5 years’ experience in HR
- Direct experience with employer health & welfare benefits, 401(k) plans, compensation structures & surveys, employee engagement, and/or new hire onboarding is a plus
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Solid Microsoft Office capability (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Capacity to interact smoothly with various levels of management
- Professional discretion and ability to hold information confidential
- Ability to build strong working relationships, both internally and externally
- Flexibility, with a hands-on approach
- Solid partner within the HR team and ability to work independently
