Sr. Financial Analyst (Fp&A)

Position Overview

Katapult is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst of Financial Planning & Analysis to support the day-to-day execution of the company’s annual operating plan. Reporting to the VP of FP&A, the position will serve as a strong business partner in developing strategic growth plans, improving profitability and performance, and ensuring the financial integrity of the company. This role will provide analysis and planning to support the growth of the organization and ensure the company achieves its governing objective of creating long-term shareholder value under GAAP. This individual will partner with the VP, FP&A to work together with all functional teams to assist in reporting, forecasting, and analyzing financial and operational results, as well as conducting analyses to support better business decisions.

What You’ll Do:

• Support the company's annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process for the I/S, B/S, C/F, and Covenant calculations
• Provide support in long range financial planning including target setting, analysis, and modeling across all financial statements for internal and external parties
• Support M&A, due diligence, and critical projects/activities on a regular basis
• Support aspects of the company’s borrowing including capital fundraising activities
• Support the month end close process partnering with accounting to explain unbudgeted and/or unforecasted revenues and expenses and various changes in trends
• Serve as a trusted business partner that prepares presentations, reports, and analysis for the senior leadership team including ad hoc project and analysis support
• Develop, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPI’s) to identify underlying business opportunities and risks while providing input for operational and strategic decisions
• Calculate and provide technical reporting analysis in association with our credit agreement
• Extensive support of Sales including analysis and support impacting new and existing business (deal modeling, margin contribution, and commission calculations)
• Provide financial, project, and ad hoc support during the regular course of business and during critical engagements such as audits
• Understand and communicate key drivers and complex analyses to business leaders

Experience and Skills We're Looking For:

• BA/BS in Business, preferably in Finance and/or Accounting
• 4-7 years in a FP&A role; 2+ years’ experience required
• Experience working in a financial services organization preferred
• Microsoft Office experience required (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with senior leaders
• Ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment
• Reputation for balanced judgment and analytical proficiency
• Individual must be a highly motivated financial professional with strong problem-solving and relationship management skills
