We are looking for a Sr. Facilities Technician to join our Ensurge team, working at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in the heart of Silicon Valley. In this position you will maintain the Ensurge facility operations by performing general, preventative, and emergency maintenance of facilities equipment. Responsibilities:
- Maintain, operate, diagnose, analyze and repair industrial facilities equipment including: boilers, chillers, air handling units, dehumidifiers, VAV systems, hydronic systems, air compressors/dryers, exhaust ventilation, chemical delivery/storage systems, waste water collection and treatment systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on facilities systems including required calibrations as scheduled
- Install or modify various facilities infrastructure equipment and support equipment including ductwork, piping, exhaust, wiring and HVAC to facilitize process equipment.
- Ensures the safe usage and disposal of hazardous materials according to safety procedures and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
- Partners with Operations team to verify all permitting and safety equipment is up to date and in compliance
- Make periodic inspections of all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
- Monitor and support sub-contractors in performance of work.
- Plan and execute other skilled mechanical or electrical services as necessary.
Desired Qualifications and Key Personal Attributes
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance as an HVAC or Chemical Operator technician in industrial/commercial and or lab/R&D environments
- Understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS) interfaces and devices, as well as familiarity with other semiconductor fab controls systems.
- Extensive training in safety practices and able to assess tasks/situations to determine what equipment is needed and develop/communicate procedures necessary to accomplish a task while ensuring worker safety.
- Must be familiar with basic HVAC and electrical codes.
- Ability to consult manuals, read and interpret circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Demonstrated technical ability in the repair and maintenance of industrial HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Self-directed with the ability to be resourceful, plan and organize work.
- Provide good communication skills written and verbally.
