Sr. Accountant (Us Remote, Santa Fe Springs, Ca)

Position: Sr. Accountant

Location: U.S. Remote *Must live within driving distance of Santa Fe Springs, CA

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant is responsible for month-end duties, such as and is not limited to preparing and posting assigned journal entries and balance sheet/P&L reconciliations. Work closely with accounting leads to ensure proper/timely month-end close and financials are accurately reflected.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for full month-end close duties, includes gathering data, analyzing, and preparing journal entries, complete balance sheet reconciliations, such as bank accounts, prepaids, accruals, and intercompany, etc.
• Complete assigned duties in Blackline system
• Review financial results for accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company procedures.
• Assist with providing information/schedules for external income tax preparers.
• Assist with preparing schedules for PBC list for external annual audit.
• Effectively communicate and work cooperatively with team members and other departments to research issues, determine solutions, and resolve in a timely
• Involvement with designing, modifying, and/or maintaining process and procedure documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing current processes and looking for opportunities to streamline.
• Perform ad hoc projects/reports and other analysis as needed/requested.
• Other assigned duties to support the team/department/company needs.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Accounting
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required.
• 5 or more years of general accounting experience
• 3 or more years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Intercompany experience a plus
• Fixed assets/lease experience a plus
• Blackline experience a plus
• Must be proficient in Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, sumifs, etc.)
• PLEX experience preferred, but any large ERP system is acceptable.
• Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong work ethic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
