Specimen Collector Opportunity:

Principle Health Systems is hiring a Mobile Specimen Collectorto support our busy, rapidly growing clinical laboratory company (Principle Laboratory) with headquarters in the League City/Webster, Texas area. Our Mobile Specimen Collector will support laboratory operations by collecting non-blood samples (urine/swabs) from patients. This role is expected to drive all over Houston and drop specimens at our lab located in League City/Webster, Texas. Valid driver's license, active insurance ,and reliable personal vehicle are required for this role.

• Full-time; permanent role
• Pay: Hourly + mileage reimbursement (47 cents/mile)
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm

• Location: Role travels daily and stops for pick up at scheduled locations within the Houston, TX Territory; drop off of specimens at the lab in League City/Webster, TX

Specimen Collector Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for assisting and educating nursing teams with the collection of urine and COVID specimens. (Will receive comprehensive training and all necessary PPE).
• The technician will transport/courier samples to the laboratory for testing and/or coordinate shipping.
• Keep detailed records of outstanding samples needed for collection and follow-up to ensure samples are received at the lab.
• Communicate any current or potential customer issues within the assigned territory with suggestions for resolution.
• Maintain detailed records of time worked and mileage.
• Maintain regular contact with sales representatives and scheduling teams.
• Assist with all corrections and missing information requests.
• Be friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable face of the laboratory.
• Other job-related duties as assigned by management.

Specimen Collector Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Must have a valid driver's license and active auto insurance.
• Reliable means of personal transportation.
• Previous phlebotomy or specimen collection/handling experience is highly preferred
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Can-do work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to independently resolve problems.
