Summary

The Specialist, HR for Shared Services is responsible for serving as a primary Human Resources (HR) point-of-contact for all employees. Will obtain and provide requested information or take appropriate action to resolve, refer, or escalate issues in accordance with company and HR policies and procedures. Will provide quality support services with a high degree of customer satisfaction, expertise, and timeliness.

Essential Job Functions

  • Processes paperwork for new hires, terms, and all employee data changes, etc.
  • Inputs and updates employee information in the HRIS system to ensure accurate information is maintained for optimal effectiveness for reporting.
  • Assists with the maintenance of the HR shared mailboxes.
  • Maintains time management system for all employees.
  • Completing verification of employment.
  • Responsible for phone imports.
  • Responsible for mass change imports
  • Assist with performance reviews.
  • Assist with mail mergers.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school graduate or equivalent; post high school education preferred
  • 0-6 month’s previous experience in an HR environment
  • Prior experience in customer service
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ultimate Software knowledge

Language Skills:

Ability to read words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to comprehend and write simple instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
