Job Title
Specialist, Ad Sales Operations
Overview
Responsible for coordinating with sales and members of the Free TV Networks Sales Operations team to maximize revenue through log editing and inventory management. Be a key team member who can find needs and fill-in as needed.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities: Commercial Log and Inventory
- Maximize inventory and revenue by managing ordered spots and by working with sales.
- Manage program information through software integration.
- Manage program information through reports, emails, and other methods of communication for a fast-paced news network.
- Develop good working relationships with programming and network contacts.
- Edit/manipulate daily logs for a television network by placing commercials based on information provided by agencies and sales.
- Be responsible for a weekly schedule and inventory based on the schedule provided by programming.
- Complete and finalize log and send to master control.
- Generate reports for management, sales partners and other clients as needed.
- Create log change form when needed.
- When required, change programming quickly using available methods.
Secondary Responsibilities: QC and Commercial Copy
- Check the log inventory and schedule for possible errors.
- Be able to back up copy and traffic duties if needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Work Environment
Work in office three days per week and work remotely two days per week. Normal office environment.
Requirements:- Proficiency in WideOrbit traffic system preferred.
- Must demonstrate a clear understanding of traffic and television.
- 3-5 years of television log scheduling or format editing experience preferred.
- Must be meticulous and detail oriented.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and work independently on project-oriented tasks.
- Ability to adhere to tight daily deadlines without compromising quality; analyze data thoroughly to make sound decisions; embrace new ideas through expression and presentation.
- Excellent time management skills with ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency with MS Office required.
