Night Warehouse Expeditor Operator

Overview:Come join our team at Georgia Crown Distributing Co. in McDonough Ga as a Night Warehouse Expeditor Operator. Georgia Crown is a full service alcoholic beverage distributor with wholesale operations doing business in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.
Responsibilities:The overall purpose of and objective of this position includes but is not limited to the following:

• Supervision of the truck loading process to ensure quality loads.
• Assist in the process to ensure that all loads are secure and properly sealed.
• Help train all new loaders on the proper techniques and procedures.
• Oversee dock set-up and the start of the shift and clean -up at the end of the shift.
• Help with pallet loading when needed and ensure all pallets are secured properly.
• The shift starts at 5:00 p.m. and it ends when the job is complete. Employee will be required to operate a forklift, learn entire operation, and cross train in other areas as needed.
• Repetitive, heavy lifting required for most of the shift.
• Ensure case mispicks, overages and shortages are kept to a minimum.
• Oversee the handling and recording of all broken products throughout the warehouse.
• Ensure that the conveyor is being run at max productivity.
• Detect jams.
• Motor faults
• Lader delay
• Other issues that may arise

• Communicate well with management and co-workers in order to shift manpower to needed areas.
• Run production reports at the end of each shift and review with management if there are any issues.
• Use all available technology to get the best results (vision capture)
• Other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma/GED
• Heavy and repetitive lifting of a minimum of 40lbs
• Attention to detail
• Forklift experience required
• Ability to safely move around warehouse on forklift equipment
• 2 years previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and ability to report on time.
• Must be computer literate.
• Have very good attention to detail and product recognition skills.
