Job Purpose

The Marketing Operations Manager provides management and support for marketing procedures and workflows that support: Artwork Development; Artwork Proofing; Artwork Approval; Artwork Release; Artwork Filing and Storage; Launch Implementation Process; and UPC Code Guidelines.

Also serves as department lead to manage and administer project plans to successfully meet project goals and deliverables consistent with timelines, budgets, and resources.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Manages Marketing SOP workflows that:

o supports the Marketing Artwork Development procedure to ensure that artwork is developed correctly for product packaging and marketing collateral materials that are distributed externally.

o supports the Marketing Artwork Proofing procedure to ensure that artwork is proofed correctly.

o supports the Marketing Artwork Approval procedure to ensure that artwork is approved prior to release and/or production.

o supports the Marketing Artwork Release procedure to ensure approved artwork is released to suppliers correctly.

o supports the Marketing Artwork Filing and Storage procedure to ensure that artwork is filed and stored correctly.

o supports the Launch Implementation Process that is used for approving the addition, changing, and discontinuation of products consistent with the requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS). The process ensures that these changes are clearly identified, documented, reviewed, communicated, and approved.

o supports the UPC Code Guidelines SOP for how to issue codes for artwork and items.

· Serves as Marketing Representative on the Quality Unit to ensure that requirements of the Change Management SOP workflows related to Marketing materials meet the requirements of the QMS (ie. Change Control; Labeling Specifications, etc).

· Develops and oversees project plans for assigned projects by: managing timelines, preparing reports; identifying and communicating issues; and alerting stakeholders to any project change control requests.

· Acts as key liaison within cross-functional teams to assure that packaging artwork is transmitted to suppliers accurately and in a timely manner.

· Attends onsite press approvals, as required, to ensure that printing meets or exceeds standards.

· Provide training and educational opportunities to promote the growth of subordinates.

Preferred Qualifications

· Must have excellent time management and professional communication skills.

· Strong project management, business writing, and reporting skills.

· Ability to work as part of a team but also independently.

· Ability to deal with challenging deadline-driven customer situations.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.

· Helpful to have a basic understanding of various print methods including Flexo, Litho and gravure.

· Strong knowledge of ETQ systems and processes.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

· Normal office working conditions

· Requires long periods of sitting and computer usage

· Repetitive usage of keyboard and mouse

Occasional lifting of file boxes, typically up to 25 pounds
