We are looking for a Special Events/Take Out & Delivery Manager at our dual-branded, Virgil’s Real BBQ & Carmine’s Italian Take-out store in the Upper West Side, this is the perfect opportunity for you to work a hybrid role and spear head the Take-out operations and Execution of Special Events for the restaurant! You will have the opportunity to drive the day-to-day operations of our busy To-Go and driving the sales of take-Out & catering; you will also be responsible for handling the flawless execution of Special Events and ensuring you meet the clients’ expectations for all party booking at our Upper West Side location. We are looking for someone who is passionate about sales, results driven and a team player.
Operating alongside the original Carmine’s Family Style Italian restaurant, established in 1990, Virgil's Real BBQ, established in 1994, opened its’ newest location in the Upper West Side in 2020. Offering take-out and delivery from this location, Virgil’s Real BBQ prides itself on its famous barbeque and exceptional comfort food, bringing authentic slow-smoked BBQ and Southern home-style cooking to the Upper West Side locals!
Take-Out and Delivery Management:
- Manage the Take-Out and Delivery department and team to ensure an exceptional guest service experience is delivered daily.
- Help create the best quick service restaurant operations for our two brand Virgil’s Real BBQ and Carmine’s Restaurant.
- Oversee all food orders directed to the kitchen while coordinating with the culinary team to ensure all orders are being executed packed and delivered in a timely manner.
- Manage the promotion strategy, pricing, and customer relations of all our Takeout 3rd Party Systems, OLO, Seamless, UberEATS and Grubhub.
- Monitor inventory and sales levels using our Digital Dining POS systems.
- Oversee E-Commerce Execution from the restaurant of Jarred sauces, cookbooks, and other collateral.
Special Events Management:
- Responsible for selling, negotiating, and finalizing pricing for events that is within the agreed upon guidelines.
- Collaborate directly with the Operations, Special Event team, and Chefs to ensure buy outs, private dinners, off premise catering are being handled to Carmine’s Standards.
- Responsible for selling, negotiating, and finalizing pricing for events that is within the agreed upon guidelines, generating new business. Create BEO packets for staff before BEO meetings, lead BEO meetings with necessary parties; Update menus in Dropbox and Tripleseat.
- Performs outside and marketing sales calls to sell and prospect repeat and new group catering/sales business as directed by the Director of Special Events.
- Work closely with the Director of Special Events to determine yearly budget and sales goals.
We Are Looking for Candidates:
- With 2-4 years of Management/Sales experience, preferably in full service/quick service Grab & Go environment with heavy take-out and delivery business.
- With strong computer skills and knowledge of Triple seat, Aloha, and 3rd Party Delivery Services.
- Who knows the ins-and-outs of running a Take-out and Delivery business (Food Safety, sales forecasting)
- Who has good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Who display a passion for service and exceeding our guests' needs.
