Who You Are
The Special Events Manageris responsible for providing leadership and professional expertise in the planning and implementation of high-quality strategic events and functions across the school. Sitting within the Office of Institutional Advancement, this position is responsible for ensuring that campus-wide priorities and standards are reflected in the planning and presentation of small and large events (200+ guests) supporting stewardship activities to strengthen long-term relationships with donors, parents, and alumni. This position requires a hands-on, proactive individual with exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
About You
The ideal candidate for the Special Events Manager at The Episcopal Academy will possess the following:
- Proven experience working with vendors, venues, lecturers, and caterers; negotiating contracts; and managing event budgets.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex schedules and logistics both internally and externally while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to create and execute a sophisticated event from start to finish.
- Proven experience collaborating with and serving as a hands-on partner to colleagues across an organization.
- Demonstrated curiosity, creativity, and growth mindset.
- Proven ability to perform well in fast-paced settings and meet deliverables.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, event software, and CRM systems preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
