The Mobile Air Climate Systems Association serves the mobile air conditioning community by fostering a community of knowledge sharing between staff, OEM’s, manufacturers, distributors, and service providers. As the preeminent resource for the industry, MACS provides a portal for training, education, certification, and knowledge allowing our members growth and networking opportunities to continuously improve the quality of air conditioning service to the public at large.
The Mobile Air Conditioning Systems Association is looking for a meeting professional who can efficiently coordinate and execute all events. The individual will also be responsible for leading Member Engagement activities that will help support the association's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will lead the MACS staff in a collaborative effort to plan and execute all aspects of the annual training event and trade show.
- Administer and coordinate annual meetings, seminars, and/or board meetings for the organization.
- Lead the development of event budgets for both revenue and expenses.
- Negotiate rates with hotels, decorators, entertainers, and vendors for annual trade show and other events as needed.
- Ensure event planning complies with negotiated contract terms.
- Communicate with staff all pertinent information on all events.
- Develop and grow the MACS trade show exhibit booths.
- Create MACS Trade Show exhibitor kit.
- Coordinate all exhibitor contracts with MACS accounting staff.
- Supervise and coordinate with exhibitors and decorators onsite at trade show locations as well as room assignments, setup, and final checks on setups for all convention events, assisted by support staff.
- Coordinate staff and Board of Director's lodging etc.
- Maintain archive files related to the trade show and clinics.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute MACS annual golf tournament with support staff.
- Manage logistics for the presentation and delivery of programs and webinars.
- Assist with soliciting event sponsors.
This role also involves leading Member Engagement efforts, which include managing communication with members, overseeing benefits programs, and developing affinity programs with the Marketing and Sales Director to enhance the member's experience.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (required)
- Minimum of three years of experience in meetings, with a focus on nonprofit professional and/or trade associations (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent relationship-building skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $61,244.00 - $70,930.00 per year
