Sourcing Program Managers (SPM) on the Real Estate & Development Team lead all costs and schedules for Apple Owner Furnished Items (OFI) for Apple RE&D projects. SPMs sit at the intersection of Strategic Sourcing and Construction Development teams, successfully balancing the needs of both groups to ensure successful project deliveries. OFI fit out components (such as the display fixtures and wall panels), define the look, feel and expression of Apple’s globally recognized retail stores and corporate offices. Together, these teams implement and launch both new and reimagined spaces used by both Apple employees and customers across the world.
Key Qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience in program management, construction project management, or construction procurement.
- Strong analytical and process development skills.
- Possess a strong sense of foresight for avoidance of potential critical path issues.
- Ability to toggle between strategic and detail orientated thinking.
- Tenacious problem solving and issue resolution skills.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong eye for business and experience running sophisticated projects, supply chains, and Cost Models.
- Flexibility to adapt to nuanced and constantly evolving environments.
- Excellent communicator, capable of working in multinational environments, driven and motivated by accomplishing extraordinary objectives.
- Hands-on experience in any of the following: design, construction, logistics management, or supply chain development.
- Must be a self-starter who can work independently. Must have experience working well with and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Description
SPM’s primary role is leading all cost and schedules for OFI components for new and existing development projects. SPM’s are responsible for the project management and communication of project status, budget and scheduling between the strategic sourcing and project teams for Apple’s global fleet. PROJECT MANAGEMENT: - Partner with development cross-functional teams to understand upcoming store design and schedule. Communicate development project dependencies and key milestones to strategic sourcing teams and other project customers. - Create and maintain the OFI Sourcing project budget including material and logistics costs. Update and communicate budget modifications as project timelines or dependencies change. - Assess the impact of both design and project milestone date changes. Highlight these changes to the entire development project team, and drive closure to minimize schedule and cost impacts. - Ability to take a standard cost model and adapt it to the unique design of each project. PROCESS DEVELOPMENT: - Continually track and evolve management processes (often across multiple geographies), that streamline project communication, budget development, and finance processes. EXECUTION: - Ensure key deliverables are met to maintain project timeline and budgets. - Weekly, or timely reporting as needed, to assure extensive knowledge of project status to senior management. - Periodic education of development managers for key project dependencies and standard strategic sourcing practices and schedules.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,900.00 and $250,400.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
