We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer for Abington Perinatal Associates that is opening a new location in Zionsville, IN. This will be two days a week, Monday and Thursday, hours of 8 am - 5:00 pm.
The Sonographer provides ultrasound diagnostic services as directed by physicians including scheduling, patient care during procedure and communication with patients. This position is working with high risk OB patients and requires detailed scans throughout all trimesters.
- Performs routine and diagnostic ultrasound images.
- Interacts with physicians and other technical staff to provide quality, safe and efficient care for the patient.
- Follows guidelines for probe handling and infection control.
- Follows examination protocols under the guidance of the physicians on duty.
- Oversees patient scheduling.
- Explains procedures to assure cooperation and optimum test results.
- Positions patients, selects appropriate transducers and machine settings.
- Conducts scanning procedures.
- Ensures maintenance on ultrasound equipment.
- Orders and stocks all ultrasound supplies.
- Maintains all ultrasound records, reports and files.
- Demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness in handling all customer interactions.
