Klaviyo has a unique take on the Solution Architect role. While most companies hire SAs to give demos, fill out questionnaires, and explain complicated setups, that makes us yawn. We built a product that anyone can use (just ask our more than 100,000 customers) and we have smart sales reps and customer success colleagues who are true product experts.
So what do we do? We work directly with a small percentage of prospective and existing customers, alongside our sales & customer success teams, as technical consultants and industry experts to accelerate complex deals and customer value. We use these engagements as an opportunity to learn, prototype, and develop reusable solutions (e.g. check out Solution Recipes on our Klaviyo Developer Blog). We look for interesting problems and aim for solutions that are extensible and reusable. We believe simple things should be easy and hard things should be possible.
A great candidate for this role is highly-technical, energized by talking to customers, and loves going deep to master new domains. How You'll Make a Difference:
- Become a complete expert in the Klaviyo app and experience, from APIs to UI to how the app is used by our customers - as well as having a deep understanding of the technical and competitive landscape
- Be the go-to internal technical resource for the sales team, educating team members as well as prospects/customers to provide a consistently positive Klaviyo experience.
- Develop and maintain personal relationships during engagements across many different prospects simultaneously.
- Act with urgency and precision to give customers best in class support in troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Be a voice of our emerging customer needs while working closely with other internal teams such as Voice of the Customer, Developer Experience, and Product.
Who You Are:
- Someone who loves figuring out creative solutions to complex problems.
- A strong communicator and storyteller who can impress customer stakeholders at any level, from executive to developer.
- Strong domain knowledge in several of the following areas and a proven ability to learn new domains quickly: marketing automation tools, customer data platforms (CDP), eCommerce systems, mobile apps, analytics, ad tech, data engineering
- Working experience with web development languages (e.g. HTML, CSS, Javascript) and REST APIs.
- Experience with web app development frameworks (e.g. React, Node, Angular, Vue, etc.), mobile app development, and any general-purpose programming languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, PHP, etc.) are great bonuses.
