Description:
Software Engineer Principal
Location: Aurora, CO
Clearance Required: US DOD Top Secret Clearance/SCI
Rate: $55 to $ 80 an hour DOE and Benefit package selection
Do you have DevSecOps experience within a Closed System? Have you worked with Visualization tools, Digital Engineering, or Automation Frameworks?
This opportunity will help you gain experience with design, development, test, delivery, and maintenance of a closed space system software lifecycle. This role supports advancement to space systems, protects life, and aids a diverse network system to ensure public safety.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- An active and in-scope TS/SCI US security clearance
- Strong coding ability using Java, C/C++, Python or similar programming languages
- Understanding of Software Engineering processes and best practices, with an ability to ensure documentation to meet Security Requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in object-oriented design
- Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
- Experience with Agile development
- Experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development
- Experience with one or more areas of satellite or space system software such as:
mission management,
planning and scheduling,
command and telemetry,
satellite operations,
flight dynamics models,
Satcom or Digital Signal Processing.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Over 5 years of Software Engineering experience and a Bachelor Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)
((or 3+ year with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field ))
**12 years of experience in lieu of a degree
