Description
Gather architecture and software technical requirements from Architecture and Calibrations team to analyze and formulate software requirements. Review, analyze and implement MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow models and autocode generated software for ICE passenger vehicle, Hybrid Electrical Vehicle (HEV), and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) Electronic Control Unit (ECU) features including torque control and diagnostics. Design, develop, validate, and integrate conventional passenger vehicle Chassis and electrification torque monitoring and vehicle and system remedial action safety software, in Embedded C and C++, using Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Eclipse IDE, IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC), IBM Rational DOORS, and IBM Rational Rhapsody tools, following Motor Industry Software Reliability Association C (MISRA-C) and CERT C standards and GM software development process. Design, integrate and verify software to meet vehicle specific architecture, system, security, and safety requirements of current/future global passenger vehicles. Remote: This option does not require employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee’s role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis.
Additional Description
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field, and one (1) years of experience as an Engineer or related role. Must also have experience with: developing and integrating passenger vehicle torque monitoring and vehicle and system remedial action safety software, in Embedded C, using IBM Rational Rhapsody tool, following Motor Industry Software Reliability Association C (MISRA-C) standards.
