Overview

ERISA is a complex law. Few hospitals, if any, have the resources to devote to studying its 80,000+ pages and apply it to appeal denied claims. But we’ve spent over a decade deepening our knowledge of the law and building technology designed to apply it.

As a Software Developer at our organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting and driving the development, maintenance, and security of our critical applications, including a Vetting App, Ticketing System, and future CRM application, all based on Django. This position is designed for a dynamic developer who is skilled in Django, Python, SQL, JavaScript, OOP, and familiar with DevOps culture and practices. Working in a rapidly evolving DevOps environment, you will contribute to building and nurturing this culture, adapting and supporting changes as they occur, and collaborating closely with the Lead Software Developer to enhance our development practices.

Key Responsibilities

· Adaptive Development: Engage in full-stack development activities for current and future applications, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a growing DevOps culture.

· Deadline Adherence and Time Management: Consistently meet project deadlines through effective time management, prioritization of tasks, and proactive communication with leadership.

· Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Support: Assist in the introduction and optimization of CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient application flows.

· Collaborative Programming: Work alongside the development team to implement best coding practices, maintain code quality, and contribute to project documentation.

· Learning and Growth: Embrace ongoing learning opportunities to enhance technical skills and contribute to the team’s development under the mentorship of the Lead Software Developer.

· DevOps Culture Contribution: Actively participate in the cultivation of a DevOps culture within the team, suggesting improvements and adopting best practices.

· Security and Efficiency: Ensure the security and efficiency of application development and maintenance, adhering to established standards and practices.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

· Proven experience in full-stack Django web application development.

· Proficiency in Python, SQL, and familiarity with API frameworks and business logic.

· Strong foundation in object-oriented programming is paramount.

· Understanding and experience with DevOps practices and culture.

· Experience with Azure DevOps and Git for version control.

· Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing environments.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize development processes and timelines.

· Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a willingness to learn and contribute to a team.

· Knowledge of Azure Database management and Salesforce/APEX is a plus
