Job Description:The Team

In the Fidelity Brokerage Technology group, the team is responsible for providing electronic trading solutions for Fidelity's Capital Markets division. This is a hands-on role as an individual contributor and responsibilities include technical leadership, insight, and mentoring to peers.

The Expertise You Have
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related software engineer field.
  • 5+ years of technology experience in the development and implementation of software solutions in highly scalable environments with focus on financial technologies particularly electronic trading.
  • Proven experience in high-volume, low latency real-time messaging applied to electronic trading
  • Comprehensive experience in overall end-to-end Software Engineering in an agile environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, highly matrix environment to achieve group goals
  • Desire and aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Previous experience using business requirements to develop technical designs and define architectural strategies and solutions
  • Dedication to sharing knowledge and providing guidance to less experienced developers in their work
  • Ability to communicate problems and recommend solutions to project leaders
The Skills You Bring
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting and building solutions on the AWS platform
  • Proven hands-on development skills with technology leadership
  • Experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead, creating new solutions.
  • Demonstrated Understanding and proven track record for cloud-based solutions, continuous integration/deployment and cloud architecture.
  • Willingness to partner optimally with your technology business partners
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The Value you Deliver
  • Providing technical leadership and hands on mentorship to agile teams in preparing design artifacts and implementation of solutions
  • Participate in problem solving, troubleshooting, performance tuning, production support, and maintenance of existing applications.
  • Working across cloud infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end to end Cloud Infrastructure architectures and designs.
  • Implementing with AWS services technologies and practices, building applications using services such as AWS EC2, ECS, Lambda, EMR, Cloud Formation.
  • Coordinating with the team on engineering and continuous integration & delivery CI/CD practices.
  • Building container-based systems: Architecture, implementation and managing orchestration platform such as: Kubernetes, Docker, ECS.
  • Deep understanding of well architected framework implementation in Enterprises: operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency and cost optimization.
  • Executing with web, event driven, caching, batch architectures, designing systems for high throughput, low latency, high availability, and fault tolerance.
The base salary range for this position is $76,000-$144,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
