Job Title: Social Media Strategist

Department: Marketing

Reports To: Content Marketing Manager

Status: Full Time, Salaried, Exempt

Location: Houston

 

Job Summary:

The Social Media Strategist will support the marketing team in planning, developing, and sharing Social Media content across Legend Homes Social Media channels with a goal of growing the brand presence and customer engagement. The person in this role will analyze Social Media data and report on these results to inform the company’s strategic decision-making process in elevating its brand awareness efforts.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Create engaging and shareable Social Media content across multiple channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter/X and more
  • Curate relevant and trending content from various sources to enhance the brand's online presence
  • Assist in Social Media planning process, including contributing new content ideas to ongoing posting strategies
  • Generate regular reports on key metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Use Social Media Management Software to manage and maintain the brand's presence on multiple Social Media platforms by responding to comments, messages, and discussions
  • Stay updated on platform algorithm changes, features, and emerging trends
  • Optimize profiles for each platform to ensure consistency and brand representation
  • Travel to Legend Homes communities in Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and San Antonio to record and develop Social Media content onsite and in real time
  • Engage with Social Media followers in real time by responding to comments, tags, and other engagement opportunities
  • Develop and implement UGC campaigns to encourage follower engagement and interaction
  • Identify and collaborate with local REALTORs and influencers to promote Legend Homes content across channels
  • Assist in onsite and remote training for sales professionals to learn Social Media best practices
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Passion for content creation, including brainstorming ideas and bringing to life engaging concepts, from short-form videos to photography, stories, and more
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in translating preexisting content into bite-sized social content
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and major Social Media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Threads, Pinterest)
  • Familiarity with Canva and Hootsuite
  • Able to learn brand language best practices and become comfortable engaging with Social Media followers in this voice
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Familiarity with basic homebuilding industry concepts and terminology preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Friendly and welcoming demeanor with the ability to maintain professionalism and a strong customer-focused demeanor with demanding clientele.
  • Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with advanced conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills and proficient in English. Must be able to articulate needs and convey information verbally and in writing effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and co-workers throughout the organization.
  • Knowledge of management methods and sound employee relations techniques with an ability to connect to staff, troubleshoot problems and help teams collaborate, as necessary.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree is marketing, journalism, communication or equivalent work experience
  • 2-4 years of Social Media management experience
