Social Media Specialist

The Dallas Cowboys Social Media Department is seeking a Dallas Cowboys Football Club (DCFC) Social Media Specialist with working experience in the field. The purpose of our department is to develop, publish and optimize content across the Dallas Cowboys' Social Media Portfolio (Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, The Star in Frisco and AT&T Stadium Social Media channels). The Social Media Specialist will support the Dallas Cowboys social channels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning, ideation, creation, and publishing of content to Dallas Cowboys Social Media accounts. This includes Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube and other emerging platforms.
• Create, edit, and curate compelling and shareable TikTok content that resonates with our fan base. 
• Stay up to date with TikTok trends, challenges, and features to ensure our content remains current and appealing.
• Assist in scheduling and implementing a daily/weekly/monthly Social Media calendar.
• Support the Social Media Coordinator and Social Media Manager in the day-to-day content publishing on the Dallas Cowboys Social Media platforms and ensure channel best practices are being met.
• Provide real-time coverage of DCFC games, events and player appearances to capture and create reactionary, in-the-moment content for our Social Media channels.  
• Monitor Dallas Cowboys Social Media platforms in real time.
• Recognize and react to real-time, emerging trends and current events to create content for distribution across social channels.
• Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to coordinate content initiatives and creative.
• Assist with other duties as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Media, marketing, communications or related field
• Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and create unique social content for TikTok and other social content platforms
• Significant video editing experience utilizing CapCut or other video editing software
• Strong story telling/copywriting/copyediting skills
• Experience working in Photoshop or other photo-editing software
• This role requires a creative mind, a deep understanding of TikTok trends, and a passion for connecting with audiences through innovative and entertaining content.
• Experience with Meta Business Suite (Facebook, Instagram), TikTok, YouTube, and X/Twitter. Must also have a pulse on emerging social platforms.
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Basic knowledge of the NFL and the Dallas Cowboys
• Extremely detail-oriented and organized
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
