Job Description
Social Media Specialist Responsibilities:
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for creating and curating original copy, images, and video content, managing posts and responding to followers/consumers. The Social Media Specialist direct company image in a cohesive way to achieve marketing goals. The Social Media Specialist reports directly to the Director of Marketing and Brand Management.
Social Media Specialist duties will include, but are not limited to:- Assist in marketing planning, strategy, and execution of marketing plans for multiple company brands
- Implement set-up and posts the creative content for the paid social buys on behalf of the brands
- Develop and manage a paid Social Media content calendar to guide internal marketing partners on the timing and cadence of campaigns
- Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily/weekly
- Communicate with followers and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner
- Monitor customer reviews
- Oversee Social Media account design on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest
- Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness including polls, quizzes and promotions to spark customer engagement
- Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in Social Media, design tools, and applications
- Ensure invoices are submitted for payment and monitor budget spending
- Provide Social Media analytics reporting for campaigns
- Ensure the compliance with all regulatory compliance on Social Media and report potential issues to management
- BA/BS in Marketing or equivalent experience
- Experience with planning, design, and execution of Digital Media, Social Media, or content management
- Two (2) years of related experience
- Solid knowledge of market research techniques and databases
- Knowledge of online marketing channels
The Social Media Specialist is a full time position and works 40 hours per week
Salary/Income:The Social Media Specialist is an exempt, salaried position
